Spanky’s Speakeasy Eatery & Spririts
Naples’ most unique dining atmosphere enveloped you in the surroundings of yesteryear. From the moment you will first pull into the parking lot at Spanky’s (on Airport Road at the Longboat Drive) you almost have the sensation of being on the set of “Bonnie & Clyde”. Glimpse into the past…. There’s no prohibition at the Speakeasy! Join the gang for salad fixings at the 1924 Model T Truck. Nostalgia… Barbershop chairs…a whizzer motorcycle….antiques… Spanky’s buddies delight the whole family with gadgets and a casual, comfortable, unique atmosphere, great for kids young and old. Once inside, your eyes are drawn to the literally hundreds of rare antiques that seem to sprout from every nook and cranny of the neighborhood gathering place. Spanky’s is one of a lost breed – a true neighborhood eatery – where friendships are made and maintained over hot food served in generous portions.
Spanky’s opened in Aug. 1984, It was called Cue & Brew when we bought It. It was a pool hall at that time, We slowly turned it in to what it is to day. With years of collecting antiques and a lot of learning about the restaurant business. We found the best help we could find, which was Edie, who used to have her own restaurant called Jim & Edie’s Seafood Rest. Than she cooked at the old Elks Club for years. What a great cook she was. With the help of all my good people now, who have been with me for years and Robert Mackie my head chef, I hope to be here for more years. Thanks to all my great customers through the years. Jane And Fred.
